Ari Medoff - Nurse Care of North Carolina and Developmental Therapy Assoc.
Ari Medoff, is the CEO and Owner of Nurse Care of North Carolina and Developmental Therapy Associates. He is a certified nursing assistant (CNA) and honors the commitment and compassion of his companies’ remarkable care professionals.
Ari earned an MBA/MPP at the Harvard Business School and Kennedy School of Government with Rubenstein and George Fellowships, and graduated from Duke University as a BN Duke Scholar. He went to Durham Tech to become a CNA in 2013. Ari serves on the boards of Caring House, BJH Foundation, and the Durham Workforce Development Board. Ari was the founding Chairman of the Junior Board of Directors of Seeds of Peace and has been a Big Brother to two for over a decade. Prior to Nurse Care of NC, he worked in private equity in New York City. Most importantly, Ari is married to his summer camp sweetheart, Diana, and they are the proud parents of a ridiculously charismatic eight-year old, Shai, adorable five-year old Juliet, and happy three year old Asher. Ari’s hobbies include running, reading historical non-fiction, and inadvertently butchering James Taylor’s classics to get the kiddos to sleep. |

Kent is currently Executive Chairman and former CEO at a Northern California-based home health care company acquired using a self-funded search fund model. During his 13-year tenure as Chairman & CEO, investors returns exceeded 35x acquisition capital with IRRs over 90%. Previously, Mr. Weaver held executive positions in marketing and product management for a VC-backed marketing automation startup, as a regional CFO and business analyst in Pepsico’s Pizza Hut Division, and as a management consultant at Ernst & Young. He received his MBA at the University of California, Los Angeles and BS in finance from the University of Southern California.
Kent Weaver is also the founder, CEO and Managing Member of Granite Point. Kent has invested in over 75 middle market companies as an individual investor and with Granite Point. Joseph M. Thompson, M.Ed. - Thompson Strategic Business Development
Mr. Thompson’s background includes over forty years’ experience in the management and strategic leadership of over twenty international trade associations, corporations and not-for-profit organizations. As founder and CEO of an association management firm for twenty-five years, he guided and worked with dozens of corporate boards and committees represented by international leaders in various industries, including wholesaler-distributors, manufacturers, healthcare, financial services, insurance and maritime sales. As a strategic development and planning consultant, Mr. Thompson has worked with the leaders of numerous trade associations and corporate boards in defining and designing their business models and future goals and objectives. During his career he has overseen numerous organizations, including NAHAD - The Association for Hose and Accessories Distribution; ISD - International Sealing Distribution Association; FPDA Motion & Control Network; WF&FSA - the Wholesale Florist & Florist Supplier Association; RPA - Retail Packaging Association; and SHDA - Security Hardware Distributors Association.
Mr. Thompson was a founder and manager of the Association Education Alliance, LLC, formed in 1991 and now encompassing over 40 national and international industry trade associations delivering training and educational services to more than 40,000 members. In 1994 he helped establish, and then led, the University of Innovative Distribution, an annual four-day educational program sponsored by 45 national associations and coordinated with Purdue University, serving over 600 participants from around the world each year. |

Jason Soriano has a diverse leadership background with over 25 years of governmental and civilian sector experience in the distribution, manufacturing, and service sectors.
After successfully commanding an organization of U.S. Army paratroopers, Jason transitioned to Corporate America with an initial assignment as the North American Operations Manager for Carrier Sales & Distribution (HVAC), a division of United Technologies Corporation (UTX). He then moved to Crouse-Hinds, a division of Eaton Corporation (ETN) where he held positions as Director, Global Logistics & Trade Compliance, Director, Customer Service, and Managing Director, International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) North America Business. Currently, Soriano is Vice President, Supply Chain West Division with Beacon Roofing Supply (BECN). Jason holds an MBA from Syracuse University, a Masters of Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M, a Masters of Human Relations from The University of Oklahoma, and a Bachelor’s Degree from Marymount University.
